The Handmade Holiday Festival is a curated holiday market and annual fundraiser for Roots Rising, whose mission is to empower youth and build community through food and farming. With over 50 artisans, makers, and food producers, shoppers can find unique gifts and keep holiday spending in our community. Vendors are required to attend both days of the festival. There is a $10 vendor application fee.

The application will close on Wednesday September 13. The event committee will make decisions by Friday, September 22. To ensure quality and cohesiveness, our event committee will review all entries. The $10 vendor application fee does not guarantee participation in the event. Please be sure to provide an accurate description of your products, as well as a link to your website. Roots Rising will notify you via email if you are approved.
RATES
There are four set-up options:

10'x10' booth in the Great Room: $250

8'x12' booth in the North and South Rooms: $250

Bar set-up (including running water) for “Made to Order Food” in Great Room: $300
Funds are available to cover booth fees for a number of BIPOC vendors, available in partnership with the Berkshire Black Economic Council and funded thanks to Greylock Federal Credit Union.
Preferred sizes are not guaranteed as spaces are limited. Once accepted, booth fee payment is due by October 6.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Roots Rising must be notified of any cancellations by October 20 in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after this date.
PREPARED FOOD VENDORS
Prepared Food Vendors must receive required permits from the Dalton Board of Health. Any fees associated with permits are the responsibility of the vendor. No single use plastic is allowed. Paper plates, earth friendly plastic, bamboo, etc are all approved for use. Vendors with “made to order food” will be given a premier spot behind the bar in the Great Room, so they can have access to running water and electricity.
SET UP & BREAKDOWN
Vendors will be responsible for supplying their own tables, chairs, displays, and other related equipment. Set up will take place on Friday evening from approximately 3 to 6pm. Vendors are required to attend both days of the festival. Vendors must be in place and ready at the start of the Festival each day, and may not leave until the Festival closes (unless given permission by Roots Rising). Vendors are welcome to leave items and displays during the weekend. The Stationery Factory is locked at night, however Roots Rising cannot take responsibility for any losses. Upon the closing of the Festival, vendors must remove all items. Specific booth assignments and load-in details will be provided closer to the Festival opening date.
INDEMNIFICATION
Vendors indemnify and hold harmless Roots Rising Inc. and their officers, agents and employees from and against all liabilities, loss, injuries, damages, and claims arising out of or related in any way to your participation in the Handmade Holiday Festival.
