In our Youth Crews, we hire teens to work on farms, in food pantries, and at our Pittsfield Farmers Market.
 

Our Crews provide an opportunity for teens to engage in meaningful work—work that needs to be done and serves a larger social good. We believe that meaningful work leaves youth feeling purposeful, capable, and connected. Empowered youth become changemakers, impacting their own lives and the world around them.
 

Our program offers teens the chance to disconnect from screens and reconnect with themselves, each other, and the earth. Through hands-on, land-based work, they learn critical life skills such as conflict resolution, communication, and perseverance. Beyond work, our teens participate in educational workshops, culinary lessons, financial literacy classes, and feedback circles. For many, it’s their first introduction to the workforce—but it’s so much more than just a job!
